    Small differences are not magic.

    Only local offsets of about 18–23 ms change; they never accumulate.

    Timing can vary without the pulse disappearing. Groove does not require events off the grid.

The code in one sentence

BPM marks the ruler. Groove decides how rhythm moves within it.

Accent distributes weight; syncopation changes expectation; subdivision and swing reorganize inner space; timing moves local positions.
